Summer Workshop hosted by Mineral Area College

9-11:00:        Homeschool 101 presented by FHE Director Kim Quon
                     *This session will give all the in’s and out’s of what is required
                      to homeschool in MO. During this time the PTK sorority will
                      also be conducting campus tours for students aged 12 and up.
                      They are also hosting an ice cream social in order to give them
                      a chance to ask any questions they may have about college!

11-11:30        Break

11:30-1:15    Breakout Session:
                      *For HS families there will be a High School to College
                      presentation by Mineral Area College and
                      FHE Director Kim Quon.
                      Both parties will give information about transcripts,
                      diplomas, graduation requirements as well as financial aide, dual                                                              enrollment and the admissions process.

                     *For families with younger students there will be a presentation
                     about lesson planning, curriculum choices and approaches to
                     teaching your homeschooler.

After the breakout sessions finalize, all speakers will be available for questions.

high school seminar,
then now is the time to apply
what you learned.

Bring your favorite high school curriculum to share with everyone,
laptop and transcripts to work on,
and plans for scheduling out the rest
of your teen's high school years.
Bring your lunch, and FHE will provide bottled water,
chocolate, and handouts for you.

This event is free for FHE members;
$5 donation for non-FHE members.
FHE yearly membership is also available for $20.
